The modular design of the SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony FX30 and FX3 comprises a NATO rail and a U-shaped cage. The NATO rail, secured on top with two 1/4″-20 screws, can be removed to accommodate the original XLR top handle. The U-shaped cage, on the other hand, is firmly fixed with 1/4″-20 screws on both sides and at the bottom to prevent any twisting. A protective cushion is also included to guard against scratches.

For an enhanced grip experience, a hinge arm is strategically placed at the battery door, fitting the camera curve perfectly for your little finger. The SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony FX30 and FX3 also features a dedicated HDMI cable clamp to protect interfaces and ensure stable signal transmission.

The SmallRig Cage for Sony FX30 / FX3 4183 is versatile with its varied accessory mounts. It has 1/4″-20 holes that support Magic Arm 2070, ARRI 3/8″-16 locating holes for connecting Top Handle 2165C or Monitor Mount 2903B, and a top NATO rail that supports Top Handle 3322 and Side Handle 2187B.

For follow focus, 1/4″-20 locating holes are available at the top-left quarter and on the left side to attach Rod Clamp 3598. Two 1/4″-20 holes on the right side allow secure mounting onto a quick-release plate for vertical shooting. The cold shoe mount supports a microphone and LED light, and the QD port at the bottom fits a QD strap.

The SmallRig Camera Cage for Sony FX30 and FX3 also features an Arca-Swiss quick-release plate at the bottom, which can directly attach DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 / RS 3 / RS 3 Pro or a quick-release plate (height increase pad) for DJI RS 2 / RSC 2 gimbal and Arca-Type Quick Release Plate 3154.

For added convenience, both sides and the bottom have holes for Hand Strap 3848 and Shoulder Strap PSC2428. The package includes a magnetic spanner for easy assembly and disassembly. Please note that the top NATO rail should be removed before installing the original XLR handle, and the top 1/4″-20 holes have a hole center distance of 27mm, making them incompatible with accessories with a hole center distance of 18mm such as Monitor Mount 2904.
