Since it runs on plug-in power and has no controls or switches, the Rode VideoMicro Microphone is a simple and reliable microphone ideal for mobile journalists, vloggers, and run-and-gun shooters.

This ultracompact and ultralightweight shotgun microphone features a detachable shock mount that mounts directly to your DSLR, mirrorless, or video camera and reduces noise from vibrations and camera handling. The supplied furry windshield minimizes wind noise, making it well-suited for outdoor shoots. The detachable coiled 3.5mm TRS cable ensures easy hookup to your camera, and the dual-mono output means that no channel selection is necessary on your recording device.

Connectivity Options

Expand the microphone’s device compatibility with Rode accessories such as the SC4, SC7, and VXLR (all available separately). With either the SC4 or SC7, you can connect the VideoMicro directly to a smartphone or tablet equipped with a 3.5mm TRRS jack. The VXLR adapter is the ideal solution when you want to record the VideoMicro to a camcorder or mixer that has XLR inputs.
